Dear Patients and Friends, 

Long time no email...   Happy Hot Summer!

 

I will be out of the office Monday the 25th through morning of the 27th. If you need to get in beforehand tomorrow is possible, as is Friday, although with less available slots. 

 

Please note I have a new Online Appointment Booking system:  JaneApp.com.  You can sign up anytime. Just look for "Aiki Acupuncture"  my biz name.  I often have a few more times that won't appear on the app so don't hesitate to email/call if you are looking for a different slot.

 

And remember, don't overdo it on cold food and drinks in the Summer. Some will of course be satisfying and nutritious. But overdoing it can lead to digestive funk/biofilms that can end up making you lethargic and affect your GI tract among other "Dampness" related illnesses. Try incorporating mint, green tea, patchouli, and or perilla leaf. The latter 2 are in an often used summer formula called Huo Xiang Zheng Qi San (Patchouli Upright Qi Powder) used for early stage summer colds where there is only mild fever or chills but headache and nausea and/or diarrhea.  The perilla leaf is that green leaf you sometimes see when eating sushi because it's also know to help with seafood related food poisoning. It's in the mint family although has a unique flavor. 

 

I think this heat is making me write too much. Time to turn on the A/C...
